The camera at the end of the insertion tube is being pushed trough drain pipes into areas with dust, moisture, bacteria and other remains. The outer construction of most conventional endoscope systems is a braid construction. Using such rough surface in these environments, inevitable
offers a good grip for bacterial contamination and dirt . Some even remaining when the instrument has been rinsed and cleaned after usage. This is not nice nor healthy. Besides that there is a risk of cross contamination when such an instrument might be used in an old sewage pipe first and later might do an inspection at a drinkwater or air condition system.
The VISIO PRIME Home Inspector with it`s special outer coating is tightly closing the outer surface of the probe. This way there is much lower chance of dirt, mold or bacteria adhering to the surface, and residue is easy to wash off. Additional this coating allows the use of 98% Alcohol to whipe of and disinfect. The Insertion tube is watertight over the whole length so it can be immersed completely and cleaned very well.
